i squished a snail, and other updates

we had our garden de-weeded the other day, and it has disrupted the habitat of all of our snails. unfortunately, one made its way to the footpath, and came under my foot. CRUNCH! i was hoping it could still crawl away (it was a partial crunch), but it turned out this was a footpath fatality. i hope all the other little snails don't come and gang up on me, it was an accident!

the sound of the crunching shell is still haunting me.. i'm sorry little snail!

in other news... i think i'm done medical school. i've sat my final exams, and went to the graduation ball. of course exam results around out yet, but by golly, i think i've done it - i'm finally done with being a student.

you don't understand how ecstatic i am, that the next time i see a patient, i won't have to introduce myself as a medical student, and see them squirm. oh, and the fact that i'll stop creating more debt and finally be able to start paying it off. i am stoked.

i'll post photos from the ball later - my hair (the morning after) is still huge and curly. i think the hairdresser did like 15 applications of hairspray whilst styling it, then followed it up with gloss - which must be a nice way of saying, "hair shellac."

okay, i'm getting a little tired now. i got home after 3am, and still managed to wake up at 7:30. what the heck?? my day's gonna be filled with cat naps, starting right now.
