i am 29!

can you believe it? i told the coffee guy, and he looked completely flabberghasted. don't cha love it?

being so mature, i took the opportunity of my birthday to scrub a toilet and do 2 loads of laundry. don't worry, i'm not totally lame, i also managed to go watch SATC with a couple of girlfriends. i cried!! the strength of the friendships between those girls is so incredible. it reminds me how lucky i am, b/c i know i have friends who would be just as protective and supportive.

i'm currently working on a literature review, and i am going so slowly at it. i can sit here at my computer for hours, and get nothing done. i am so impressed by peole who do a PhD, or who do research for a living. i personally find the process of sitting, thinking and writing extremely painful. usually, impending deadlines give me a good kick in the butt, but it's not working this time - possibly because i'm on school holidays, and just don't wanna.

anyhoo, heading to the coast tomorrow for a short road trip. haven't started packing yet, so maybe i should do that.
