finally some pictures!
i'm fresh back from the country. i spent 5 days in Bega, a town of 5000, with a main industry of cheese making. :) gotta love it! except that i feel so stupid talking with people about farm animals and the like. i don't know how many times i've had to say, "sorry... i'm from the city."
anyway, franny's safe and sound in Toronto. she seems to be crazy overworked already, so i don't know when she'll get a chance to send me her pictures. so i've decided to step up to the plate, and post some of the ones i have - there aren't many, i don't like carrying around my camera much.
These pictures are from the Toronga Zoo in Sydney. The place has an amazing view, as George the Giraffe will show you. If you squint real hard, you'll see the Opera House just over his left shoulder. And as he walks over, you can now also see the Harbour Bridge. Good job George!

After the zoo, we went to try some of the famous Sydney Rock Oysters at a place just steps from the Opera House that looks towards the Harbour Bridge (sorry, I just can't get away from the landmarks). They were my first raw oysters, so Franny decided to take pre- and post-oyster pictures...

Here's a picture of the happy tourist. Taken upon the ferry returning from the zoo.

Did you know that Jonathan Wen is engaged? Congratulations!!

awww! what a cute giraffe!! apprantly their heads can be that high up because they have huge hearts that allow for blood to be pumped all the way up to their brains. i like giraffes!
