where to intern?

i still can't believe that i'm finally in my final year of school. fortunately, there are constant reminders: Grad Ball band selection, the as-yet unknown date of the Graduation ceremony, and applications for Intern placements.

previously, i had been dead-set about going to Sydney for the year-or-so, until i (hopefully) came home for residency. but i guess the thought of moving again was so far into the future, i didn't think practically. i mean, if i get a spot in Sydney, it means starting all over again. i'll be a stranger in a strange city. of course, it'll be a beautiful city. but i'll have to explore it all by myself.

and before you go thinking i'm all super pathetic - i do have friends here. unfortunately, none of them want to go to Sydney next year.

so, on one hand, i stay in my comfort zone. which is not a bad thing, considering i'm all the way on the other side of the planet. but if this my entire Australian experience, do i really want to spend it all in Canberra??
