somewhat guiltily i have the day off. i'm supposed to be doing an intensive 2-week GP stint where i go 4 full days a week, but i'm only doing 2. i didn't propose it to be this way, i just didn't correct the GP when he mistakenly thought that was all i'm supposed to do. i know, i'm very naughty.

besides, i have things to do. i have so many silly research papers and reflective papers to write in the next week. and i'm planning a baby shower. and exams are in 2 weeks!

btw, who knew balloons were so expensive? i got quoted $2.60 per balloon. is that reasonable? am i just being a cheapskate? the lady wasn't very nice, so i've decided to not buy them. i might just buy a pack and blow them up myself.

it's getting hot over here. it's not quite summer yet, and the house was 28 degrees when i came home yesterday evening. and everytime i'm outside during the day, even if i'm in my car, i can feel my skin sizzling. thank goodness i'm never here for the true Australian summer, with its 40-something degrees, i don't think i could handle it.
