it may sound weird (it does to me), but i miss Canadian winters. we just had our first frost in Canberra for 2008, and i am so cold. i spent last night at Cathy's place, and i haven't washed up this morning b/c her bathroom was just so cold, i just couldn't go in there and splash cold water on my face.

it's so much colder in Toronto, but b/c of that, it's so much better equipped for the cold. it's gets really chilly here indoors - you may have a heater in one room and be all toasty, but as soon as you go out into the hallway/bathroom/kitchen/wherever, it chills you to the bone. it's not supposed to be like that inside! i might go hang out the hospital just b/c they are temperature-controlled.

yesterday i spent the day in Delivery Suite. this time was way better. i even got to see a whole birth! there was some sad stuff too. it really reinforces that the birth of a healthy baby is a pure miracle. anyhoo, i'm off for the day. xo!
