i'm on vacation right now. i'm stuck in Canberra - no travelling for this Canuck, but it's good, cuz i'm actually getting some studying done -- here and there.

the last couple of months have been fairly hum-drum. i'm already in count-down mode for coming home, except that i have yet to secure a plane ticket home. i'm also not sure what day i'm aiming for, cuz my research project supervisor wants me to stay for a few days after my exam to do some experiments, that way i'll have data to work with over the holidays. Why do i have a research project to do? i'm not too sure. apparently we're the only med school in Australia that does it. blegh.

my project's okay, i guess, just that it looks pretty hard core. it has to do with electrical responses of the eye in response to different graded stimuli. my supervisor's really nice so far - he was at Cambridge for a while, and is some research hot-shot. i guess it'll look good on paper some day.

so i've been asked to put up some pictures. we had our MedBall two weeks ago, but i don't have any pictures from it yet. but i do have pictures from Floriade. it's a floral celebration in Canberra. the reason i'm excited about it is cuz we painted gnomes that are displayed there. i painted mine to be Avril Lavigne. but i got a lot of critism from my classmates cuz my gnome is fat and Avril isn't. well, too bad!

okay, i was gonna try to upload other photos from Floriade -- some of the gnomes were pretty darn good. but unfortunately, technology is not agreeing with me. so it'll have to wait till next time. bye!
