i've been pretty exhausted lately. i'm not sure what it is. part of it is probably contributed by the dragonboat race i did this weekend. it wasn't so much the race that got me (we only had two races, at 250m each), i think it was more the lack of sleep preceding it.
i went to bed at like 2am, eventhough i had to wake up for 7am. for some really odd reason, i got a bunch of calls from back home that night -- my mom, kenric, and franny. how popular was i? so i can't really complain, cuz it was good to hear from everyone... even at 2am!
so i'm starting to settle down a little with respect to my studying. but i've also found a new show that i like, that i can download and watch back-to-back episodes. it's called Veronica Mars. i didn't hear of it while i was back home, and i just found it by accident, but it fulfills the teeny-bopper in me. don't worry, i'm still watching Gilmore Girls too.
school's pretty exhausting. it's not just learning about medicine, which is enough in itself, but there's all this peripheral stuff too. my current research topic is Consent and Children, how old they have to be, and whatever else. of course, nothing is black and white, there are always exceptions. we hafta learn legal stuff, like legislations, past related cases, and all that. Roe vs. Wade is actually something we cover. that's American law! but most of the stuff is British or Australian. we use the term 'fiduciary' something i heard franny say during her first year at Queen's law. my brain is about to burst! but it's also very thankful that it didn't pick law as a profession, i think i would've hated it.
so i've got less than two months left here till vacation, and it feels like there's a million things to learn and do. i'm probably going to be living at the same college next year, but there's a slight chance i might move off-campus. i have yet to purchase my plane ticket home, and there's a distinct possibility that i'll be making a pitstop in Japan. i'm kinda nervous about going, cuz i'll have to spend some time alone, and i know nothing about Japan nor it's language. i guess if i go it'll definitely be an adventure.
alright, i better finish off my homework, it's making me exhausted. bye!
